Fix OpenSearchEngine crash call

Don't ask me why, as I'm not code author and it seems a bit complicated
for the evening, but following backtrace (bug 289583, Thread 1, #12)
it seems there is a call to a non extant opensearchengine instance.
This check prevents this crashy situation.
